- highlight and promote transformational decarbonization technologies and research needs for the sector, which eventually could help achieve net-zero operations.
The Roadmap was developed by The APPTI Net Zero committee members: led by Antonio Suarez, Smurfit WestRock, and Barry Malmberg of NCASI

The Roadmap was developed by Agenda 2020 in partnership with the Department of Energy, IPST at Georgia Tech, and AF&PA. It represents the contributions of more than 100 industry experts from around the world who participated in two workshops, one to identify the critical issue areas and one to define the R&D needs.
